No, I am not referring to my husband (he’s not that old), but a great lady! One who drew me in from the very first picture I saw of her —- her door! Yep, that’s all I saw in the photo, that arched door, but what a door it is. I immediately called my Realtor and declared that this was the home for me! I will never quite understand why he insisted I actually see her first?
I fell in love with each room even though they looked awful. It was perfect — I was single buying my very first home ALL by myself.
Oh I know you are probably thinking what a
beauty she must of been, but she wasn’t. She was in such need of TLC and years and years of arduous hard work ahead. But remembering my Mom saying, Cathy, don’t look at her for what she is, but look at what she will become. So many visions were dancing in my head of what could be, and feeling such a sense of honor knowing that I was becoming this charming lady’s caretaker.
We’ve come a long way in the last few years, but not anywhere near where this great lady can go!
