Vintage Platters are great to use in vignettes, for serving food and for displaying other treasures on them.
First of all, if you’ve been following me, you know by now that I LOVE vintage dishes. As a result, I have many, many vintage dishes.
But today I want to focus and share with you some of my vintage platters scored at thrift stores of course!
My favorite platter and I almost tripped over myself getting to it. England Johnson Brothers.
It has the most delicate floral pattern and colors. A score of less than $3.
A Homer Laughlin made in the USA and I love her shape. Less than $2.00.
Another Homer Laughlin with a pretty colorful platter, $4
From time to time I’ll find round platter or two like this beautiful rose one, made in Austria. $4
Another beautiful round rose platter…or plate $4
The rose pattern competes for my most favorite one…Germany $3
Another simple and elegant floral platter, Johnson Brothers. $3
Another Homer Laughlin Rose Platter, $3
I’ve been very lucky, actually too lucky in fact, in the number of vintage dishes I’ve scored while thrifting. It has presented a storage problem for me. I’ve decided to start weeding out some of my dishes which in of itself is going to be a big task. I imagine it will be hard for me to give us some of my dishes…but a girl got to do what she has to do.
Undoubtedly these are some of my favorite Spring/Summer platter…how many do you have? Can one have too many platters? I don’t think so, really I don’t.
