It’s been so busy around the Charmer and I’ve learned something I should of learned years ago. Don’t start three major projects at one time!
I feel like I’m running around in circles, and the circles are getting bigger rather than smaller! Oh my! I’m also trying to get my garden under control after last years absence (sick) where I did not step one foot in my garden. Don’t get me wrong, it’s wonderful being out in the garden.
But, one of my surgeries side effects is not being able to hold my neck/head in a downward angle for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Today I didn’t heed this advice and am sitting with a hot pack on my neck hoping to relieve the muscle tension. Honestly, I never knew a neck could hurt so bad!
Even with all the chaos going on, Tuesday I was finally able to meet two fellow Illinois bloggers. We tried for months to get together and it finally happened, Penny, At Home In English Valley and Melanie, Comfy House! Well let me say that it was so worth the wait!
Penny, At Home In English Valley, me and Melanie, Comfy House
It was a kindred spirit moment shared with these ladies instantly! First of all I love hugs, and they give award winning hugs! I kept asking for more, more hugs please! I just love hugging, and oddly enough some of my closest friends and Mr. Charmer do not!
There are just some woman you instantly connect with….kindred spirits….who share passions of thrifting, decorating, gardening and all the possibilities that life has to hold!
To be honest I would read, oh so often, about developed friendships across blogland, and wondered “what’s wrong with me”? It wasn’t that I didn’t meet other bloggers, just no connection. That is until the last two months.
First I met, Jane from Blondie’s Journal who lives within 5 miles of me.
Yes, I intentionally cropped myself, well except for my hand, out of this picture. I’m am not photogenic by any means but I felt that my hand looked good enough to keep in the photo. Doesn’t Blondie have the warmest smile?
My sides are still hurting from how hard we laughed Tuesday and I thank Melanie for bringing us all together!
Penny gave us such sweet gifts, I got the cutest mason jar cozy….
This photo was borrowed from Melanie’s post. Hope you don’t mind Melanie!
The other two gifts will be shared with you on my Kitchen Updo Reveal! They are so special I have to share then!
A few month back I found a vintage bike for our front yard! Yippee!!!!
It’s a Japanese bike, and if it wasn’t so dark outside I would give your the name. I think I might have to move some of the ferns!
The bike is the pretties blue color, and the basket didn’t come with it. Today after PT I stopped at GW and found this…
basket, and it took a few minutes, and turning it around to realize it’s a bicycle basket, yikes!
Do you think I should move the ferns.
Ok, I’ve been rambling long enough!
Hi Penny, hi Mel! Miss ya, and sure could use a hug!
