Today I’m sharing Our Christmas Tablescape!
The first thing I did was to make chair covers using a plaid material leftover from Christmas 2011. I didn’t’ have enough to make seat skirts too, so I made them out of winter white corduroy..
I guess you can’t see the corduroy too good? It’s been so cloudy and rainy the last few days. The tablecloth is a crushed red velvet I made.
The centerpiece started with a vintage red tool carrier..I should of thought to have a nice glowy fire going?
Filled the white sleigh with vintage ornaments, fresh evergreen clippings from the garden, a few Epson salt snow balls and candlesticks.
I used the white appliqued placemates that I used Christmas 2012.
Placed dark woven chargers recently found at GW, and vintage red Royal China transferware, Memory Lane pattern plates. I found the transferware after Christmas last year…I think in February at Savers.
On top of the transferware I place 1988 Debbie Mumm ironstone Woodland Santa plates. The set was 4 plates each with a different Santa scene on them
The different patterns..
I wrapped the dinner napkins with red ribbon and a vintage key with a spring of evergreen…
I placed my gold silverware that I bought last year…first time using..I think you can see the pretty round wreath embroidery on the napkin.
I think I’m “hooked” on a red and white Christmas..
A seating for four..
Our dining room gate leg table is not large..but I love it so…
It makes for an intimate setting and if I have a larger crowd I just set up my other gate leg table.
I’m so happy with my plaid chair covers and were so easy to make..
Table is set and ready for Christmas.
Is your tablescape all set and ready to go?
