Just finished pulling my very simple New Year’s Tablescape together.
Everything on the table is from the Dollar Tree or a thrift store find…except for the tablecloth. I headed to Hobby Lobby this morning and found the silver grey material which I turned into a tablecloth.
The centerpiece is a Bavaria Germany coffee set found at Savers last Friday. It is from the 50’s and is porcelain with silver overlay. The coffee pot was 1.99, large and small creamer and sugar bowl were each 1.49. The set included 4 teacups, no saucers for 3.99. I was just tickled to find this set.
The set sits on top of a very light aqua sleigh, don’t know why it doesn’t show that it’s very close in color as the dishes.
The charges I have on hand are gold, white, green and dark brown woven color. I used the red because I wanted to keep the red theme from Christmas and liked how they looked with the aqua. The dishes were found the same day as the coffee set at Savers and the set, 4 plates and salad/dessert plates was $7.50
The dishes area a very pretty aqua with a silver trim around the edges. The pattern inside is more for Christmas but I liked them with the grey’s.
Each place setting was topped with a tea cup and aqua ornament. You know what, I forgot the wine glasses?
A few aqua and red ornaments were placed on top of a few greens. Cream ornaments were added to the sugar bowl to mimic sugar.
Wishing you a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
