I hope you enjoy Monday Meanderings with its laid back, casual and wandering topics.
Last Friday was Mr. C’s and I anniversary, 16 years we’ve been together. We had planned to go to dinner Friday night but, we were both so tired working on the garage sale, we just ordered in. On Saturday we celebrated with friends and went out to dinner.
I’ve forgotten how much work having a garage can be! We got so far behind that we moved the garage sale to this weekend. I can’t wait, you can’t even walk around the Charmer, there’s stuff everywhere!
Mr. C said he thinks I’ve gone “crazy”….no just determined! I need room to store all my new treasures!
While going through stuff I’ve started to pull out out fall decorations and realized I had a few summer vignettes I haven’t shared.
We have a shelf above our kitchen nook windows
where these pretty rose dishes rest. Remember the great barn sale I went to?
It’s where I picked them up. I just fell in love with the roses.
Aren’t they the prettiest roses?
Thrifting has opened up some of the prettiest and inexpensive dishes, but, I’ve found I’m running out of space to store them!
So I’ve stashed vintage tea cups above cabinets..
more teacups, dishes and a gravy bowl.
Yesterday was a very gray day when the photos were taken…sets of dishes
But there’s still so many dishes that are sitting on the floor, in closets, under buffets. What’s a girl to do when she lives in a small house that doesn’t have a lot of storage? Store them where ever you can!
One other vignette is above our thrift store armoire
I need to share! This vignette is from Spring…
Very soon all these dishes/vignettes will be coming down, so I better get working on our garage sale, to open up spaces for these to have a home.
We changed our garage sale from last weekend because we weren’t ready and the weather wasn’t cooperating either. The Charmer looks like a tornado has hit!
Have you had a garage sale lately? Do you have any tips?
