A bike, a teacup and me! I’ve been so busy in the garden, finishing the kitchen updo and the deck renewal. But the garden is doing me in! Our garden got so out of hand since I did not work in it last year.
I’ve been spending 8-10 hours, weeding, planting, moving and pruning, to get it back to where she use to be. Now I don’t want you to think I’m complaining….cause I’m not…I’m enjoying my time out there. But my body is letting me know how old I am!
Our pond is up and running again and I can’t wait to share it with you.
It’s my birthday on Saturday and I invited 4 couples over for dinner. I’m wondering why I thought it was a good idea for me to cook on my birthday?
But during the middle of the day I decided it was about Just I, myself and me!
I’ve wanted to have a tea party, and invite you over….but I’ve been to darn busy.
So I decided to have one all by myself…. it seems to make sense.
My tea party took place in my front yard that is under a huge Black Locust tree…
Recently I found this pretty yellow tea cup which is from Australia…I think it’s the first dish I’ve ever had from Australia. Pretty yellow roses…
It was so relaxing taking a small break from all the garden work…
Even though it’s been hot and humid, it was nice and shady under the tree. This is a very old Black Locust tree…see the size of that trunk?
Every now and then I set the tea cup down…as I munched on imaginary sandwiches.
I hope you don’t mind I didn’t invite you?
Next time I promise! We’ll sit for a spell talking and sipping tea.
