Winter is my favorite season! Whenever I say this I get the look, your know like I'm "nuts". But I truly do love the cold weather, snow on the ground and nesting in front of the fireplace. My father owed his own masonry business and we vacationed in winter....we went sledding, cross country skiing etc.
So I'm not one who wants to get through winter I want to enjoy it! Yesterday I pulled together a Winter Buffet Vignette. Everything I used I had laying around.

I didn't have a long white runner so I overlapped 4 white place mats, they are quilted and add a lot of texture.
The Woodland Christmas Tree I made is still in pretty good shape (just spritz with water) and added a snowflake. The candelabra was topped with some snow balls made last year, topped it with a pretty little cardinal.

A few winter candles were added inside the vintage muffin tin.

Loving the white boa against the silver try.

Pretty much everything on this side was used in my Christmas Vignette. Topped the candlesticks with a few more homemade snow balls, added a cute crochet baby booty to the silver coffee urn. My white button tree was hung on the shutter.

I like the simple and serene look, it very calming with to me adds to the romantic charm of winter.

Dried Hydrangeas was used on my Winter Mantel which is right across from my buffet so I incorporated some in the vignette too.

Do you have any winter vignettes?

Cathy, it all looks great! I especially love your little tree-it's adorable-and your hydrangeas are gorgeous!

I love the tree, and will make one every Christmas from now on !
Cathy, It really all looks so pretty and wintry. I especially love the feather boa wreath, what a great idea..Happy Saturday..Judy
I found the boa at Savers, and it works well in just about every vignette I do. Sure worth .99 cents.
I don't like winter, but I DO like your winter vignette!
So glad you like my winter vignette!
Cathy,
I love your winter mantle!! SO pretty!!
And I do not think you are crazy at all because i LOVE Winter too!
I love the way the house looks, I love snow except for having to drive in it and i love winter clothes like sweaters and coats!! I am no lover of heat and the colder temps. suit me just fine!!
Hugs,
Deb
I see you got some snow in your neck of the woods, so wish we would get some here! I am no lover of heat either!
Cathy I like the winter as well, just wish we had snow on the ground instead of rain and this terrible fog we have had the past 2 days! I love your dried hydrangeas...how do you have the basket attached to the mirror?
Everything looks so pretty. Have a wonderful Sunday!!

I hung the mirror using commando hooks, the kind that you can pull down on the strips and not damage the walls.
It always surprises me when I hear that winter is someone's favorite season! I HATE winter but try to make it fun by nesting and doing a lot of indoor projects to get me though it. Love you buffet. Come by and check out mine. Oh yea, I am envious of your cool thrifty finds too.
Oh gosh, winter is great because you can nest and do projects.
