The other day I shared the historic homes of Marley, IL. Today I’m sharing the Marley Community Church Vintage Flea Market.
Saturday was Marley’s Community Church 50th Vintage Flea Market. It was a beautiful morning, sun out, no humidity, and I was so excited to be here.
The market was held in the park right next to the church.
The park was outlined by beautiful trees and I felt magic in the air. Everyone so friendly.
This is were the market began, and there were over 100 vendors throughout the park. Vendors became more heavily located the farther back you got.
Each vendor varied, and so eclectic. Vintage, primitive, antiques and crafts.
Behind the church was a “white elephant” area. Food vendors were located here too.
One “tiny” creature drew the largest crowds…
The baby squirrel was running up and down a nearby tree. Someone threw him a piece of popcorn and he stopped to enjoy it.
He was the cutest little squirrel I have ever seen. I sure wish I knew where his parents were?
So, what did I buy?
This oh so cute oil painting was the last thing I bought for $8.00. I felt pretty clever hanging the picture over the cart’s front handle. I found the vintage cart many years ago, and I can’t tell you how many people wanted to buy it.
I wouldn’t leave it’s side thinking someone was gonna steal it!
A vintage galvanized bucket, $7.00
vintage gas can, $7.00
Vintage pillow cases, set for $6.00
I love linens so and I bought a lot, the prices were so good. 4 set of vintage pillow ticking, $10.00
vintage pillow shams, set $10.00
vintage tulip table runner, $3.00
vintage Christmas apron, $4.00
vintage embroidery square table cloth, $3.00
another vintage square tablecloth, loved the color, $3.50
needlepoint pillow (I heart needlepoint), $10.00
I was so excited when I found this shelve, and immediately knew I’d be using in our bathroom remodel, $15.00

another cute cottage oil painting, $6.00
I had so much fun at the flea market, it was a great way to start my birthday! I did spend my entire birthday gift here.
I wish it was a monthly event, but it’s held only once a year!
