Are you like me? I always seem behind, you know with the season. I’ve seen Easter projects and vignettes for months across blogland….but I just finished our Easter Vintage Card Mantel last night.
Am I the only one running late? We do have good reasons this time, Mr. Charmer pulled his back the end of last week while we were gardening. He has been in such pain!!!! Our master bedroom is being remodeled and our deck is under a nice remodel…we are having our deck “covered” so we can use our outdoor space for 3 seasons instead of one.
Crazy busy lately with everything going on plus PT 4 times a week!
Moving on to the topic on hand…our re-purposed Vintage TeaTowel Spring Mantel into our Vintage Easter Card Mantel.
The first thing I did was flip the vintage tea towels so the back plain side was showing out…
and attached the Vintage Easter Cards…
to the ribbon using mini clothes pins from the Dollar Tree.
Aren’t the cards just adorable, I found the cards (as well as towels) from my favorite secret Antique Store. Selfie coming…..I won’t share this store with anyone!
In the center of this mantel I swapped out the pansy watercolor for this too cute vintage bunny luggage. Same secret shop.
The left side I swapped the vintage pansy plate for the bunny ($1) and pink polka dot planter ($1.50). Filled in with eggs.
Another pansy plate was swapped out for another bunny ($1) and thrift store vase ($2.00). On both sides I added one of my favorite flowers, Stock. Filled in again with more eggs.
Did you notice the cute tiny plants?
I had to have them, so cute, found them at Trader Joe’s, $1.69!
At the top I added some greenery from Hobby Lobby and more eggs.
I’m so hoping the grandchildren enjoy it! They are coming for Easter dinner.
