I hope you all will share your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best Par.tay #58, Sunday February 2. New time 9:00 a.m. Love to see what you’ve been up to!
My New Year’s resolution is to live life more simply, with this in mind I’m creating a Valentine Heart, Button and Rose Vignette. So far I’ve only been able to finish the Valentine LOVE portion of the vignette.
I’ve grown tired of the mantels chippy white picket fence and replaced it with a charming white screen.
I like the cottagey feel of it then the picket fence, at least for in-side the house.
I’ve only been been able to work on the L.O.V.E portion of the vignette….I go to therapy 4 times a weeks and it is time consuming. I used stuff from around the house and a stash of buttons. But I didn’t have as many red buttons as white. I’ll be keeping an eye out this summer at garage sales.
Once I was finally able to decide how I wanted to “make” them it went easily…
It’s been snowing now for a straight 24 hours, oh my! So it’s very dark out which made it difficult to get a good photo.
The L was made using…
a vintage knife and butter knife, I added a few few buttons to add color. If I had it to do over again I would have the background a red burlap instead of the heart paper. I think the L would show up better and I might change it before the vignette is finished.
The O was pretty simple…
I used an old rose frame mirror and hot glued a dollar tree rose to it.
The V was more creative…
it was made the using paint stirrers which were painted red. I hot glued vintage chocolate cups and added a red button in each cup.
The E was pretty simple too…
also made with paint sticks, painted red, and spray adhesive was used to secure the paper. The middle part of the E is filled with red buttons.
It was pretty quick to pull it all together, the hardest part was deciding how each letter would be!
I’m going to start pulling the vignette together, I always love this part!
