Smiles Everyone,
Last month I shared a bookcase I found at a local thrift store..
It's missing a leg on the bottom, but it was a great find for $35.00, and it fit the space really well.
Hubs replaced the leg, and painted it with Old White.
I've decided to paint our main living area, the Merlot color just does not show well in photos. But I was thinking of ruffing the bookcase up a bit, and doing something with inside the bookcase - stenciling, maybe fabric. Will have to wait till then.
Look how excited Sugar is about the bookcase being here, she has claimed this space as hers!
Wish I had a before picture, found the mirror at Marshall's for $15.00. It was marked down because one of the corners had broken off. Mr. Charmer fixed it, and we painted it with Old White, and antique it up a bit.
The mirror have me a great place to hang the banner I made.
Played around with it a bit, but wasn't working for me, seemed off balance.
Then I found a very large, chippy aqua old window screen at the antique mall I'm at for $5...
Pulled out my dried hydrangeas from my garden, added a few cloches and I was happy!
The cloche on the right has a bed spring inside with twig pom poms.
On the left side is a cloche with a rose vase turned upside down, and a little vase with pink roses on top.
Just finished in time, 2 hours before Valentine's Day!
The bookcase looks great in white. And I'm lovin' that mirror! And together they look fabulous!
Love the bookcase - I wish my husband would hurry up and do all the little projects I have lined up for him!
