Smiles Everyone,
I'm sharing 8 of my posts from the first eight 8 months of blogging in 2011! Yikes! I can't believe it's been eight months already!
Can it be! I still consider myself a newbie - still in the blogger honeymoon stage!
My feet are doing a happy dance to share with you my favorite posts, starting with the most popular!
My Ruffled Pumpkin for Halloween. I would never have expected this to be number 1! It was fun to make and took less than 1 hour! I almost didn't post it because I thought I would be laughed at for making a ruffled pumpkin with a black crow on top! I learned from this post that it doesn't have to be a BIG post or project that gets noticed. Way to go!
The Deck Reveal - the project that nearly did us in! Whew - this was a tuffy! One of the longest, most difficult project we undertook (except the kitchen remodel). It look us nearly three months from start to finish. During the process we went through 2 major medical ordeals. 1 directly linked to the project - a rusty nail almost cost my hubs his finger and shut the project down. But it was a huge transformation - from UGLY to Beautiful!
Thrift Store Frenchy Chairs - I was lucky enough to find these two french chairs at a local thrift store for $15.00 bucks each! It was actually the first time I ever visited the local thrift store - when I spotted these two chairs. My heart was a pounding I'd been looking a while. I tried picking up both at the same time to bring to the cash register but couldn't, I was so worried someone would grab the other chair before I got back!
Where's the Legs Buffet - I was so excite to find this buffet at our local Salvation Army - so you can imagine our shock when we got it home and noticed it's two front teeth legs were missing!
Trash to Treasure Nightstands - one day driving down our old town's alleys we stumbled upon a vintage headboard which had cracked in half. As we got closer we could see there still were 2 of the nightstands attached! How lucky were we!
Breakfast Nook Remodel - another UGLY to Beautiful transformation.
Falling For Leaves Pillows - came up with this idea when I looked inside my Fall stash and only seen leaves!
My Mr. Knightley - my favorite post! I just love the story of when I first laid eyes on Mr. Knightely! It was love at first sight!
It was fun putting together this post and revisiting the projects that were done in the last 8 months. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as me!

I love your ideas! So much fun!
Thanks so much Kirby!
Whoo, hoo! Thanks for sharing these favorite posts, being a relative newbie to your site, I enjoyed it very much.
Lori, so glad you enjoyed my 2011's best.
Wow, love the chairs and nightstands you found, Cathy! They look great and I love the slips you made for the chairs.
Kathy, the chairs are my favorite too. The slips for the chairs were an inspiration from Miss Mustard seed, covers ugly fabric until I find the right one .
I love everything you did! You are sooo inspiring! xo and a Happy New Year to you!
Wendy, you yourself are always so inspiring. Glad you like everything!
Everything is so cute I can hardly stand it! I totally know why I follow you...you're an amazing furniture designer and home decorator! Love the porch and the two missing legs totally cracked me up! Glad to be bloggy friends with you! Thanks for sharing at Overflowing with Creativity! I’m excited to continue being inspired by you in 2012!!! XO, Aimee
Aimee, great sharing with you. Miss you at Sunday's Best.
Cathy,
You've done a great job with all your projects. My favorite is ...heck, I don't know which is my favorite. They're all wonderful.
Happy New Year.
Kathy
Kathy, your projects are pretty special yourself.
Love your blog, and your ideas! I found you on "It's Overflowing" Linky party! I'm having one myself and would it if you would join. Here is the link http://www.thesouthernproductqueen.com
Your projects are all fantastic! those chairs are definately my favorite! xoox, tracie
Tracie, I'm sure happy you like them, they are one of my favorites too.
Love your Deck project! Wish you a Happy New Year!!!
Love, Olga
Olga, the deck was a really a hard project for us, fought us every step of the way. BUT we did have so much enjoy it once it was done. When i was out there, I felt like I was on vacation!
I LOVE your deck setting. It is so romantic and different. I have been wanting to do something with a screen made out of shutters outside for about a year, but I've had no luck on craigslist finding some for the project cheap. It adds so much character.
Btw, my sister and I are new bloggers, too (only 3 months) and you left us a very nice and encouraging comment that we appreciated very much. Thank you for visiting our blog. I came to reciprocate and got pulled in for much longer than I planned because I love your projects. Thanks for sharing them. We are following you now.
Sincerely,
Eldarose
Eldarose, your blog is so cute, and you two are doing a great job. I always try to leave comments that are personal. Isn't that why we blog isn't it. To share ourselves, our projects, and for other to actually read and enjoy them. I'm so glad you liked my 2011 projects, it's funny you don't think you've done very much and then you see you have.
I just want to come get cozy in your breakfast nook!I would love for you to link up at my party today!

SpecialK, love that name, wishing you an amazing year for 2012. I did visit you and will be back soon!
Nice, all of them. Especially love your patio and your breakfast nook!
Christine, so glad you stopped by, and thanks for liking my posts.
This is the first time to your blog. Saw it on Rock and Share link. I LOVED the pictures of your salvaged chairs. You really did a fabulous job with them. As a matter of fact you did with everything you posted. I also loved your leaf pillows. I have got to see how you made them. They are stunning. And your breakfast nook looks so inviting. Well everything does. Your rescuing furniture and thriftiness is to be so admired. You are my kind of person!! Also I love your knight. I have the exact same one plus another one. A friend named them Hans and Frans. They are borrowed to the hilt for all sorts of events. I got them at Gardenridge years ago in Texas. We have the same interests....decorating, thrifting, cooking and I entertain alot. I have never been a gardener but so admire those who can do it. I kill everything off. When my seven daughters were small I sewed alot. Not anymore these days.
So glad I found your blog. I am now a follower. And on your facebook too. I am a brandnew blogger of only 7 weeks and have so enjoyed meeting and getting to know so many great gals like yourself. Please stop by. I would love to have you join me.
