Its been fun getting back to doing and finding thrifting treasures even though I really don’t need anything. I just love it so and it gives me joy! As hard as I try I can’t seem to make it out of the dish department without finding a treasure to bring home.
This beauty was spotted as soon as I reached the dish department…my heart was doing a pitter patten that someone would grab it before I could! A gorgeous vintage blue rose flowered teapot, made in England. The spot has a crack but I sure didn’t care. It has the most beautiful shade of blue, pink and yellow with gold. Price $8.49 after discount. GW will give a senior discount to anyone 55 and over. Typically pay but I don’t pay this much but this one I had to have.
On another shelf was this vintage blue teapot, Japan. The body is a lighter blue, and the floral pattern is darker blue with green leaves. It also has gold touches on it. $3.89
Then sitting waiting for me on another set was the vintage pitcher and bowl set, in a lovely floral pattern. Already having a few I’m tempted to list this one on my shop. Keeping the tape on keeps me from breaking it.
At another store a white ironstone pitcher, made in England. I love ironstone and the pretty ribbing pattern on the bottom.
As you can see I made it out of the dish department to find a set of woven placemats. Delicacy of the pattern/texture appeal to me. $.50 each.
I thrift often but hadn’t found many winter throws. When I spotted the fake fur throw, even with a little matting, I bought it. After using and old hair brush on it it really fluffed up. $7.02.
I’ve run out of storage space to keep the dishes and need to get creative to find more spots to hold them!
But as I usually say, I need to STAY out of the dish department….really, really, really I do!
