One of the first things I did after the new year was hit a few thrift store…I needed a thrifting finds fix! I LOVE looking for thrifting finds!
Cute pressed cut glass compote dish with a scalloped edged and pedestal. I just picked up some glass plates too which are down somewhere in the dungeon and did’t want to head down there to catch a photo.
As usual I can’t make it out of the dish department :-}. A pretty set of vintage pink glass bowls, after discount $3.25
I was so happy when I spotted this damask blue chair, the perfect size for the Charmer. Its really in good shape and cost a whopping $9.99! The chair is sitting in our winter living area, in the winter the gate leg table is dropped down and placed behind a love seat in front of the fire place to sit, read or knit in front of the fire. The other love seat creates a sitting area around the TV.
The arms/legs is really a dark color, so this might be one time I paint them an old white and then rough them up a bit. Even though looking at the photo is about the color of our buffet? I like combinations of wood tones in the house…
Staffordshire England Floral Candlestick so you can see I was back in the dishware department. The candlestick will be so pretty to use in a summer tablescape, $1.99.
Happy to find another piece of red transferware for my collection. Red seems to be the hardest to find at thrift store. $.99.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this, but I have to stay out of the dishware department….I really do!
My score last week was the chair…especially one that has a smaller in statue for the Charmer.
