In the heart of every woman lies the quiet bloom of a little girl.
I think the weather is finally getting to me…so I’m sharing some of my thoughts and ramblings.
Monday the weather was relatively nice and Mr. Charmer and I walked.
Do you remember my friend Pat?
She’s the best picker I’ve ever known! I met her about 3 years ago when she came to a garage sale I was having. We immediately connected and she asked to see my back garden that I was so proud to share with her. We chatted and parted ways.
About a month later I attended a garage sale and to my surprise Pat’s was having the garage sale. We talked as if we had been friends forever, and we have been. I bought both my gate leg tables from her, so many pretty linens and so many great vintage items.
Pat called the other day and we set up a brunch date for Tuesday. She kept telling me about a Pepe’s Restaurant that has a great luncheon brunch. I was a little hesitant, not having lunch with her, but I don’t’ really think of Pepe’s has having good food! But I said sure….I just wanted to see her!
The brunch was only $4.99! That in of itself made me think it wouldn’t be good. So we each ordered a 1/2 price Margarita! We headed to the bar for our appetizers….
Well Pat was drooling over those chicken wings (can’t eat fried food…my tummy no likey!) I had some of the guacamole which was soooo good. For our main dish I had baked chicken legs in tomato sauce, chicken fajita’s and a baked chile ranchero’s.
The food was so fricking good! I told the manager he was giving it away. Pete, the manager, said that the last two owners really ran it down in to the ground and he was offering the buffet for that price to draw customers back. Well he certainly will…they made flan for dessert and it also was so good.
To my surprise Pat let me take a few picture of her house. She has the cutest cottage house I have ever seen.
The pictures were taken with my cell phone, and her house is crowded because she is having a “vintage house sale” and she let’s her favs (like me) over for first dibs! This is the fireplace in the dinning room and the pretty pink lamps.
I found these old pictures I had taken Christmas 2012, this is the fireplace in her living room all decorated, see all the stuff on the right side…that’s what I bought that day! When you’re in Pat’s home you have a hard time telling what’s she selling between what’s staying!
This is across from the fireplace.
This is a room they built right off their garage they use as their dinning room. All of this was pulled out for the few she invited over to vintage shop with her.
Pat’s kitchen, if you haven’t noticed Pat loves pink! I wish I had photos to show you her “sitting area” and her family room.
Pat loves white wicker as much as me and she is selling some of hers, guess who’s got first dibs!
When I got home Mr. C. and I went for a tad over two miles walk. When we got back and listened to the weather (routine this year) forecast we found out 4-8″ of snow was expected on Wednesday!
It snowed all night, this photo is looking out my dressing room window…the one we are sleeping in until our bedroom is done! Do you see the red farmhouse on the right? I wanted to buy it…but Mr. C said no! It had a really wonky staircase and he thought I’d be falling down it all the time.
Yes, I am a bull in a china shop…but I should of put up a bigger fight over that one!
