Our stockings were hung on the ladder with care...
Which is OK with me!
This year it's been about keeping it simple and nature inspired...and a ladder could be classified as nature?
One stocking was hung using a mantel stocking holder sitting on the ladder top..
The other stocking was tucked in, and a small rag garland with a few ornaments was added.
A separate vignette was created by adding the cute white pitcher, $ Tree ornament and a favorite Santa Ornament on top..Holly cuttings were added to provide some nature.
Some of our holiday pillows were tucked in to the basket. This basket was my Mom's, one I hold very dear.
I guess I can say our stocking were hung with care...

What a great idea and a nice change from the mantle. I've pinned it onto my ladder board - can't get enough ladder ideas!
I love your creative idea on where to hang stockings! We have a fireplace, but not a mantle, so right now I don't have our stockings hung up at all! Maybe I'll get some 3M hooks and hang them on the side of our ladder bookcase.
You have such good ideas. I usually hang our stockings on the fireplace mantle, but we have a half wall on a staircase in the family room, and this year I decorated the ledge of that wall and hung the stockings there. It us fun to try new places.
