Smiles Everyone,
Last night was such a beautiful night we had dinner outside in the garden.
Due to the layout of our lot, as I designed my garden, it naturally divided into "rooms".
In the back yard I have 5 rooms.
Last week I showed you my secret garden room.
Today I am sharing another room in my garden - the dining room.

Many summer nights we sit out here enjoying our meal while sharing conversation.

A room we spend a lot of time in!

It is a shady and intimate area of our garden.
Most of my garden is partial shade, like this one (3 pm when I took photos).

A lovely area to share the pleasures of the table.

The table setting was done with some pretty thrift store finds - the pattern Simplicity by Heritage Mint.

The tea cup is a new garage fine - Adderly bone china tea cup - 50¢

Hydrangeas do well in this partially shaded area.

Thalictum is one of my most favorite shade flowers. It offers a very woods and romantic look to your garden.
It gets tall (up to 5 feet) and very lacy looking buds onto to clusters of small flowers. The flowers are both delicate and enchanting.
Another nice feature is that they self-seed very nicely.

The Thalictum is nestled among some ferns.

Another great shade flower offering much needed color is Heuchera, This is one of my favorite colors - Georgia Peach.

There are over 5 Clematis in this area.

Another great shade plant - Cimicifuga (bugbane) just about ready to pop. This plant requires a lot of moisture.

Looking forward to dining out here again tonight!
Have you created any garden rooms!

Cathy....this is stunning! With so much love poured into it I can see! Just the right amount of tameness and wildness in your gardens. Love it! xo wendy

Just beautiful!! I love that you have your garden divided into "rooms". I wish my little postage stamp yard was big enough for that ...
