Welcome, welcome! With the multiple projects going on this summer there’s been little time to enjoy my gardens. But, now they’re under control, tea in the garden was something my soul beckoned for. There are many garden sitting and dinning areas out in the gardens. This one is my favorite…. It’s not as nestled as I’d like, a work in… Read More
One area I always enjoy decorating is our buffet. Perhaps you might not know, but, this is the fourth buffet we’ve had! If you like to see two before (don’t have photos for first one) click here and here. I’ve had my Spring Buffet Vignette done for a while and just now getting to sharing it now. My vignettes always… Read More
I love vintage soup tureens so when I spotted two floral cottagey ones I grabbed them right up! My dinning room corner cabinet was the perfect spot to show case them in spring vignettes. Here they are in streaming early morning light…. This is my absolute favorite floral soup tureen…made in England, W. H. Grindley, Kenwood pattern…it’s beyond beautiful! It… Read More
With the bitter cold that’s been stuck in our area the last month I haven’t been out junkin much. Tuesday’s weather was predicted to be sunny and a high of 29°! Yes, a heat wave and I just had to get out of this house. Really, the winter blues were starting to get to me…and I needed a fix. Warming, it… Read More
Valentine’s Day is just over a week away, and I wanted to share my Valentine Curio Cabinet. I found the cabinet, or I should say two curio cabinets at GW, click here. One is still standing down in the dungeon. We are planning on converting part of our dungeon in to a family room. It’s hard to get good photos… Read More
I don’t want you to think I haven’t been out junkin..cause I have :-}. To be honest with you I love heading out the door with the anticipation of what “find” will I stumble upon? Thrifting is such a unique experience — I love digging through cluttered racks and shelves, the musty smell of who-knows-what permeating the air, and of… Read More
Yesterday was predicted to be the warmest day for the next week. It’s been so cold I’ve been staying in and feeling the cabin fever bite. Heading out the door the sun was shinning bright and the snow twinkling. Gosh you feel so much better when the sun is out!
Christmas is only 3 days away! When I entertain it’s never very formal. You know I love to cook but I’m a totally casual person, and so is my home. Most of the Charmers furnishing were purchased from thrift store and barn sale finds. My farmhouse table was a steal from a barn sale I attended in November.
If there’s one place I want to be in the Charmer it’s in my Cozy Christmas Kitchen! I love my kitchen, now that doesn’t mean there aren’t things I wouldn’t change about it, there is. But when I walk in to the kitchen I have such a wave of being enveloped in the warmest feeling! So it’s with great pleasure… Read More
Hello Everyone, I’m excited to be able to share with you more of our Christmas Home Tour! A few days ago was A Charming Christmas Dining Room and today is our Christmas Living Area. It’s hard taking photos in the Charmer because she is a long house (front to back) and not very wide. I really need a wide angle… Read More
I bet you thought I was going to show my kitchen reveal? I promise one day I will, but today I’m sharing another Kitchen Updo: Corner Dish Cabinet. I found this cabinet at a thrift store (that’s how I roll) and updated it (sorry no before picture) by adding crown molding, beadboard backing and new rose knobs. I’ve been finding/buying… Read More
You’d think with all the projects going on around the Charmer that I wouldn’t start another one :-}! So there was only one thing left to do, another quick updo! Our bathroom is small, and… Read More
