Is everyone busy decorating their homes for the holidays?
I sure am, don’t you just love this season!
It’s the best time to decorate.
My Momma loved to decorate, bake, sew so many things.
Momma was good at all of them.
She was a very creative women. She was passionate about it.
A few years before my Momma died she make me a holiday table runner.
I had a huge dinning room table back then, and it fit it beautifully.
The table runner was over 7 feet long.
But as the years passed since my Momma’s died, I’ve want to hold her close,
by using the items I have of hers.
So I decided to use the table runner in a different way.
When I got the idea, I moved in to action.
First, I moved the shutters from above the fireplace….
Next I moved Mr. Knightly from his summer spot….
To his winter home…
Dressed him up a little bit (sorry, sunny south window, No my paint color is not neony, it’s Merlot, really!
Ok, getting back on track.
I started wrapping the table runner around the banister..
Then I decided to use the “Working on Joy” plagues I just made…
Hung the plagues just below the runner…
Now whenever I head upstairs, one of the last things I think about is my Momma..
