Summer Guest Room
It has been so hot and humid, really humid, and very little rain. I’ve been watering the gardens more than what I thought when I opened my water bill yesterday and seen how high it was. 🙁
Since it poured last night early this morning I weeded the sun gardens. It was only 50º and what a difference…from hot to cold!
Do you remember me mentioning the three quilts I scored while volunteering at the thrift store? One was shown on our living area love seats giving more of a cottagey look, click here.
Here’s the second one.. A beautiful hand stitch double wedding ring quilt. The pretty vintage quilt cost me only $8. Now that’s a score!
I love the pinks and green fabrics many of them florals.
Cottage beds are just need to have several pillows because its so much fun throwing them on the floor!
Did I mentioned my linen closet is overflowing with the linens I’ve been buying while volunteering. Mr. C has started to volunteer with me and says he’s doing it to keep me from “buying” more stuff. I don’t think its working!
The white pillow covers were again bought at the thrift store with a matching bedskirt ($6). I like the diagonal satin ribbons across the pillow.
A bouquet was cut from the cutting garden that was shared the other day. So pretty. The bouquet contains phlox, baby’s breath, zinnia, salvia and a few others.
A pretty cottage bouquet and I love the yellow Zinnia. I also thought about matching paint to a petal.
The other morning, just after waking up, I realized Fall is just over a month away…NoWay!
