I’ve been working on some Spring vignettes for almost two weeks now. Since its never easy, or quick, to change out winter to spring/summer decor because it takes crawling into the attic space. Which is no easy task!
Since the remodel I’ve been decorating with a simple look..or at least I think I am?
I used one of the platters that I shared in my post on Thrift Store Platters.
First of all, whenever a I start a vignette in the china hutch it beings with a platter….
Next, after the platter, I start filling in but I never know what direction it’ll take…I just let it happen.
I recently scored the milk glass vase and always have seasonal crochet thread on hand which I like to use in decorating. Then tucked inside the vase is the pink and white thread which made perfect holder for the candle. The pearls added a little bling and softness.
I’ve never considered myself a “romantic” kind of girl.. Growing up in an alcoholic/abusive childhood I wasn’t able to garner the softer side of life as a child.
Since it was a cloudy day made it hard to get good photos…I meant to buy fresh flowers fro TJ’s but forgot which let the pretty pink vase without any.
Everything used in the vignette were thrift store treasures.
I just scored this pretty bone china teacup, “Duchess” made in England. OK, I know I really don’t need anymore vintage dishes!
Whenever I create a vignette in the china hutch or on the mantel I love using vintage books..All of my vintage books are from thrift store which I buy based on their color…
My absolute favorite vintage creamer & sugar bowl because they both have such a great shape!
As long as the colors are similar I like using multiple patterned vintage dishes.
I find that creating a Spring Vignette is one of my favorites to do…probably because it after a long Winter.
Sorry again for the poor photos..kind of sad since this is really a pretty romantic vignette for me..
