Hello friends. Its early morning and I’m at Potato Creek State Park again, but not celebrating our anniversary, but on my second Sisters On The Fly event! The event is I Love Fall Camping and there are 60 fellow sisters attending! I pulled in yesterday early afternoon.
There is a boat load of events planned, this morning we headed to Shipshewanna, IN, which is the heartland of Amish country and great shops and one of the best quilt fabric shops I’ve ever seen. There’s no better place to experience the culture and history of Northern Indiana than in this area.
Since Mr. C wasn’t coming along I glammed Minnie up in a more “me” feel and in a fall look keeping with the theme.
Giving Minnie a new fall and cozy look was fun to do. The rooster fabric helped to pull in some great color and compliment the natural birch on Minnie’s walls.
I found a gorgeous lace tablecloth thrifting last week and slip it over the curtain rod (so its folded in half) and pulled the center up using a piece of lace. Then I tied a boa wreath to it. Added a mum, pumpkin and my favorite wooden chicken napkin holder.
The photos were taken with my cell phone and hard to get clear ones.
A thrift store fall oil painting helped create the mood along with a pumpkin wreath and pumpkin pillow.
The sun just popped her head out and we’re headed to Shipshewana!
Everything created for this vignette are thrift store finds…see how great you can decorate on a budget!
I’ll share more on this great trip later! Enjoy your day!
