Simple Thanksgiving tablescape…
Thanksgiving is in two days, and I am so far behind. Our beloved Bo has been sick once again resulting in many trips to the vets, tears and the lingering questions parents face with our older pets. He’s laying at my feet as I write this post, and he is content for now.
I had so many projects I wanted to do for Thanksgiving that went by the wayside and just focused on a very simple Thanksgiving tablescape. It will just be four of us, my brother, Ron and his girlfriend are coming over.
Even though I was hoping to do something really special, but I’d rather have Bo laying at my feet.
I pulled together a quick table runner using landscape burlap with a fruit tapestry runner on top. I basically just pulled from vignettes around the room.
Each place setting started with an eyelet lace placemat, white ironstone plate, then my new find Old Mill pattern dishes. I just noticed in this photo I forgot to place the pumpkin on top.
The four fabric thrift store pumpkins found last year for a $1 to top each place setting with.
Just a simple setting.
We’ll enjoy the warmth of a fire as we eat.
In the background I just found the TomTom platter, I wanted to use it in the table setting but it was too large. Our drop leaf table isn’t wide enough.
The centerpiece..a straw bundle, my favorite chicken ever…
the cloche (dried hydrangea inside) is sitting on a vintage cutting board…
and a little condiment set I found last week.
Simple is a comfort I need right now!
