I’ve been relieving stress by knitting my own pumpkin patch during our remodel from hell. But, first let me say thanks to all of you who offered support and comforting words during this difficult time. It touched my heart and we’ll heed the great advice by you all.
Knitting is not only a great stress reducer but a creative process too. It also keeps me in touch with my Mom. When I knit its almost of if she is sitting right next to me. Mom taught me everything I know and feel creatively.
To knit the pumpkins I used solid and variegated yarns. Each year I remove and save all the pumpkins stems to use in project and home decor. They dry quite well…
Leftover yarns from my stash made this cutie. Since I made myself a winter hat and there was enough yarn to make the small pumpkin.
I used the knit and purl stitches and once the pumpkins were turned inside out revealed the ridges.
Even though I don’t have enough right now for a pumpkin patch there soon will be so I’ll keep knitting them until I do. A white pumpkin is on my needles right now!
Have you been knitting any pumpkins this fall?
