Fall Crochet Thow

Out Junkin!

After a very disappointing night I read Psalms 91..

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day…

God became my refuge once again, I must not doubt this, and in him I trust and find comfort.

To distract myself yesterday I went junkin….

I was so excited when I found these two vintage metal baskets from US Steel Co, only $10 each.

This cute red wagon, even though not old, $10, and plan on using for a holiday vignette.

An old metal piece, $1 and plan on using in my craft room.

I have such an obsession for old jars lately, I did pay $12 but thought it was a good price.  I’ve seen them for as high as $35.

This is such a pretty and soft throw,  I’ve been looking for a few fall throws and finally found this one, $4.99.

I thought these two holiday angels were so cute, $8.00 for the pair.  Too much but I had to have them.

A very lovely doily, $2.00 and some acorns, I’ve been looking for acorns and all of them were inside a  plastic bag, $2.99.

I hope  you enjoyed my finds!

I love the Bible passage that you posted. Comforting, isn’t it? It’s all in God’s hands – beyond our control! What are you going to do with the two metal baskets? Love the blanket/throw that you found; so pretty.

You mentioned on my blog that you’re in the Palos area. I’m not familiar with that area, but if it’s not too far from Lisle, check out the store called The Resale Connection on Ogden Avenue. My mom just rented a booth there and I helped her set it up yesterday.

Goodwill…some of my latest treasures were indeed from the Lake Zurich GW; others were from the one in Mundelein.
