There’s nothing I’d rather be doing than to be out junkin…
Mr. Charmer tells me he thinks I’m a “junkin hoarder”, I think he maybe right
I will say one thing…all the finds I’m sharing with you today would not fall under junk.
Did you ever notice when you head out junkin the first few stores will define the day. Every store I stopped at I was finding vintage and beautiful dishes.
Mr. Charmer keeps asking me where I’m going to put all of them? I’ve been looking for a hutch like for.e.ver. Nada, nothing. So I’m thinking maybe I’ll have Mr. C make me one. One thing about The Charmer….it’s very limited on storage. And we are always looking for creative ways to include storage.
I found this very pretty blue and white tea kettle, Savers $3.99. I’ve picked up some dishes along the way that matches this. Psst, can you keep a secret? I have two dinner plates, two soup bowls and a gravy bowl sitting in my car. I just found them today at GW. I’m hiding them because Mr. Charmer will flip out if I bring in any more dishes! Really, he will!
A large Royal Tudorware Staffordshire England, pattern Coaching Taverns, platter, Savers #3.99
matching soup tureen, $4.99
and creamer, sugar bowl and gravy bowl, set for #. 7.99. I’m looking forward to using these at the holiday with the dinner plates I found a few years back.
a set of three rose pictures. I’m using a lot of roses re-decorating my dressing room, GW set $8.99. I want to paint the frames either white or tone the gold down with some antiquing glaze.
a 4 piece set of white luncheon plates with matching cups for $5.99
a vintage rose vase, Savers $2.99
GW had these cute fabric balls, $0.49 each.
white wicker rocking chair, $9.99. The chair matches two other wicker chairs I’ve purchased at GW, and will be using all of them on our deck this summer.
oval wicker table, GW $2.99. Needs a good coat of white paint, then on the deck she goes.
This is truly my best find of the day…a 6 piece place setting of Johnson Brothers England Rose Chintz dishes. I have to tell you my heart skipped a few beats when I saw these dishes. There they were sitting on rolling cart waiting to be placed on the shelves.
The set also includes 4 mugs and a creamer. The best thing, this whole set cost me $32.99. Yes, there was no way I was passing these up at GW.
I have so much to share with you, more dishes, vintage linens and a really cool piece that will be used in our Master Bedroom!
