Yesterday I had some time to head out junkin....so I did!
One of my favorite thrift stores has become Savers, and there are several in the area that have opened.
Most of my found treasures today are from Savers. I was so happy when I spotted this desk chair, I've been looking for one for a while for my craft room, $8.98. Even though it's not real old it has a very old look to it. I've been looking for a chair for my craft room. The chair I was currently using had arms and wouldn't fit under my desk, which really bugged me. The wood also matches the bookcases I have in there.
My eye was drawn to the red/white checkered basket, and was so happy to see it was a Longaberger, $4.99.
I don't know what to say, but I just can't pass up anything with a rooster/chicken, $2.99. Great for my kitchen if I could find some wall space to hang it on?
I find the pretties dishes at thrift stores, even though I already have 3 other dishes with pansies on them, so snatched this one up for my collection. The colors go so well with my wall color and plan on doing a wall grouping in spring with them, $3.99.
See more chickens, this salt and pepper set is Lefton, $2.99. I already have about 4 sets of chicken S&P's, but you can't have to many, right?
A very pretty rose tea cup, the marking on the bottom is a crown, with an M underneath made in Japan, $2.99.
I found this six piece place setting of Alfred Meakin,The Post House Pattern, Staffordshire, England dishes. They were $1.99 each, which is what I usually pay for a large plate, but since it was a set of six I decided to buy.
I enjoyed treasure hunting yesterday, how about you, what's your favorite thrift store?
