Rose Tea Cup

Out Junkin..

Morning All..
Yesterday I had some time to head out junkin….so I did!

One of my favorite thrift stores has become Savers, and there are several in the area that have opened.

Desk Chair

Most of my found treasures today are from Savers.  I was so happy when I spotted this desk chair, I’ve been looking for one for a while for my craft room, $8.98.  Even though it’s not real old it has a very old look to it.  I’ve been looking for a chair for my craft room.  The chair I was currently using had arms and wouldn’t fit under my desk, which really bugged me.  The wood also  matches the bookcases I have in there.

My eye was drawn to the red/white checkered basket, and was so happy to see it was a Longaberger, $4.99.

I don’t know what to say, but I just can’t pass up anything with a rooster/chicken, $2.99. Great for my kitchen if I could find some wall space to hang it on?

I find the pretties dishes at thrift stores, even though I already have 3 other dishes with pansies on them, so snatched this one up for my collection. The colors go so well with my wall color and plan on doing a wall grouping in spring with them, $3.99.

See more chickens, this salt and pepper set is Lefton, $2.99.  I already have about 4 sets of chicken S&P’s, but you can’t have to many, right?

A very pretty rose tea cup, the marking on the bottom is a crown, with an M underneath made in Japan, $2.99.

I found this six piece place setting of Alfred Meakin,The Post House Pattern, Staffordshire, England dishes.  They were $1.99 each, which is what I usually pay for a large plate, but since it was a set of six I decided to buy.

I enjoyed treasure hunting yesterday, how about you, what’s your favorite thrift store?

Great finds, Cathy! That chair is in fantastic condition and I can’t believe it was under $10.00. Love the picnic basket, too. Out of the two thrift stores I normally would go to {Goodwill and Salvation Army}, Goodwill seems to have the best in home decor. But, if I was looking for furniture I would go to Salvation Army as they have a very large selection. Not too good on the home decor, but they are along the same road, about 10 minutes part, so it is easy enough to hit both in one trip.

You know I’m frequently out thrifting, too! A Savers opened right down the street from my favorite Goodwill store, so now I get to hit both stores in one trip. You did great – love all your wonderful finds! That chair is a beauty. Love the plate and the adorable cabinet with the rooster on it. Sure hope you can find room on your kitchen wall for it!
