We’ve been in the process of up-doing our main living area.
Since I’ve retired I don’t push myself like I use to..
I’m enjoying a more laid back lifestyle, taking my time and enjoying the process.
The foyer is done, and you can see it here.
There’s been a whole lot of patching and painting going on behind the scenes.
Sharing how the area looked before..last photo I had was around Valentine’s!
I’ve been struggling with the decorating direction to take for the redo…
But it became quite clear while looking at photos.
The Charmer spoke to me – she was saying cottage, cottage, cottage – is what I’m meant to be!
The wall color is, Valspar Jekyll Crane Cottage Green, and I love it!
A very warm and rich green.
Most of the vignettes accessories, window frame, vase, chicken lamp, candlesticks, and vintage metal carrier, were purchased from Indian Oaks Antique Mall, where I have my booth. I love this place!!!!
The vase is filled with Wisteria from our garden, and our room smells so wonderful!!!!
Fell in love with this vintage metal carrier. I had 1 blue mason jar, so I’m on the look out for 2 more.
The little bunch of flowers are dried real ones.
Couldn’t resist this chicken lamp! The vase and rose planter were GW finds!
I’ve had these 3 vintage hand painted Rose plates forever, and finally found a spot for them!
A close up – so pretty!
I’m so happy with the new cottage look!
What do you think, did I take the right direction?
