Smiles,
Our living area redo has been in progress for a while..
I was feeling confident - OK I'll admit it - I've been feeling pretty anxious about..
the direction I was going in..
Here was my inspiration board..
Once we completed the foyer...
and started painting the main living area...
And head in a different direction.
It was a light bulb moment!
It was as if my home spoke to me. The Charmer showed me the decorating style she wanted to be....
Has this ever happened to you, where you changed directions?

Oh, yes! I know exactly what you mean. And I've learned it is always smart to listen and be open for change.
Cathy, I sent you an email (I probably did that before) but now I saw yours was a no-reply email
Here's what I wanted to say (more or less):
Thank you so very much, Cathy! (for a lovely comment)
I've also read your comment at Inspired by Family Magazine (Favoritism in Blogging) and I would really like to thank you for the integrity and grace.
You're doing a great job, girl.
Blessings,
Donata
You are soo right....almost two years ago we moved from a beauiful 5000 sq ft cape cod home that I had done perfectly for it....we were sooo happy there...but when it was obvious that a big house like that didnt suit our needs anymore, we sold it and bought a 1400 sq ft..yep thats right..very small..but there is 1400 sq ft on the main level and that in the basement as well, but no matter...it has taken me really the better part of two years to really figure out what this little house is saying...and I have changed things alot...and Im still int he process..of course i love decorating and changing things so this will likely never end..but this little house has told me it is a cottage feeling....so ya for sure...we have ideas in our head of what we 'like' and then you just know that it isnt working for that house...and once you discover what the house wants to be (sounds weird, but its true) then you feel sooo confident to move on and pretty soon you know what fits and what doesnt..Thanks for the awesome inspiration....angie from kingston
