Hello sweet friends, wishing for all of you, a blessed and beautiful new year! Just to let you know I have no resolutions this year but I do have many hopes! My goals are to enjoy every single day, to be positive and to keep in good health. Last week shared my reader friends most favorite posts if you missed that. Today is about sharing a little bit of this and that.
I’ve been busy taking down all the holiday decorations and didn’t start until last Sunday. Our holiday tubs are stored under the kitchen nook entered from an outside window. Mr. C has has to crawl through the window to enter the storage space and yesterday when he was inside the space Ginger took a leaping jump through the window to join in!
Speaking of Ginger…
She is our rescue/surrender cocker spaniel dog from South Carolina we fostered and recently adopted. She is adorable and has a cute disposition….but has demonstrated aggression issues.
She was named Ginger and since she follows me everywhere I wanted to name her Shadow…No go, she knows her name is Ginger and its too set in to change. From the photo you can tell she can get intense, she’s watching a squirrel go up and down the tree outside.
Ginger’s favorite place in the house is the love seat by the window (look at 1st photo) and she likes hanging her paws over the couch arms and in between the side table.
Then she decided she could see better out the window sitting on top of the side table. Why stand on the floor?
This morning I found her STANDING on the table looking out but couldn’t get a shot fast enough.
Ginger can go from adorable to biting in a instant. We took her to get her nails clipped and was so aggressive we had to muzzle her! She’s bit me 4 times in less than a month. We knew she was abused because she was a surrender dog, and is very sensitive to anyone coming down over her head. Freaks her out… and is testing us by doing her duties inside.
So we’ve been using doggie training 101 and doing high praises as she does her business outside and leave all room doors closed. I’ve never had an abused dog before and didn’t realize the amount of time, and attention, they need.
I’ve been struggling to get back in to the swing of blogging. Right after the holidays I feel totaling burned out! I’ve been decorating for Winter, but honestly just feel like doing nothin….
How are you doing after the holidays?
