Good morning sweet friends! The last few days have been sunny and beautiful and took Ginger for walks. Yesterday after taking one of our longest walks she jumped on her favorite stool by the window and fell asleep. The last few seconds are of the video is wonky, sorry.
Ginger is one of the worse dog snorers I’ve ever heard and sometimes it hard to fall asleep at night she’s so loud! She loves laying with her leg hanging down from the stool. The mat underneath the stool keeps it from moving when she jumps up and down on it. Last week she got so excited when she seen the mailman coming the stool slide out from under her and fell in between the window and stool.
Attended another knitting retreat on Saturday. It always great to knit with kindred knitters while chatting the day away. I’ve been working on several projects, socks, a few animal projects and a sweater for myself. I found a pattern on Lion Brand website and the video is the pattern I’m making.
Its a great sweater for a lazy snuggling inside since the weather is bad kind of day. Its been fun kitting a sweater for myself again.
Loving purple I was happy when I spotted the yard at Hancock Fabrics while the yarn was on sale. I love working with Lion Brand Wool Ease sale price $2 skein and the sweater required 7 skeins. Normally its $5 a skein.
Upon waking up this morning it was dreary and there was a monsoon outside. A very dreary day indeed…
But it was a good day to get things done….like decorating for Valentine’s, organizing my pantry in the cellar, working on my craft room and finding storage spaced for all the dishes I shouldn’t buy!
Last week we faced a hurtle in a medical condition we’ve been concerned about. Mr. C had been passing blood in his stools and we had to wait two months to have a colonoscopy done at he VA. The VA in Illinois is notoriously slow and it was torture, because your fears can take over. The first week I’d take a car ride to hide my tears/fears from him.
The week before last the colonoscopy was done and we waited on the biopsy report. It came back that it was cancer, but the VA felt that it was at a very early stage and that surgery took care of it. We hope this is true, but will be looking for other opinions to make sure.
Hearing it was cancer was frightening, we are hoping surgery did catch it early and pray second opinions support this. So it was the best bad news we could get.
