I bet you thought I was going to show my kitchen reveal? I promise one day I will, but today I’m sharing another Kitchen Updo: Corner Dish Cabinet.
I found this cabinet at a thrift store (that’s how I roll) and updated it (sorry no before picture) by adding crown molding, beadboard backing and new rose knobs.
I’ve been finding/buying so many pretty dishes so the addition of the cabinet provided our kitchen a staging area.
The pretty rose knob were a garage sale fine and look so pretty on the cabinet.
On top of the cabinet, above the crown molding are…
are some pretty vintage dishes, teapot, rose dish, bowl lid, vintage ironstone stray and a chicken condiment dish. The cage is from HL. My vintage chicken nicked his head, see the white spot? I can’t tell you how much I love this guy!
On the top shelve are two recent tea pot finds.
A small Arthur Wood & Son Staffordshire England Tea Pot with another pair of Lefton chicken S&P’s.
In the background are two very pretty blue Spode plates.
Next to it is a vintage made in England Bell, I love the color and thinking of painting the kitchen with it. It color looks really nice against the dark cabinets. Then there’s another pretty tea pot…
A Royal Albert Rose Tea Pot.
The bottom shelve has….
another very pretty Royal Albert, Old Country Rose Teapot, the cup next to it is Hitkari Bone China, made in India? and a pair of my vintage chicken S&P set. Behind is a scalloped rose plate you can’t see too well.
The other side…
is a rose creamer I filled with a tiny Wandering Jew plant, rose S&P and a small flower vase in background.
Also in the background is a red/yellow/pink rose plate.
Aren’t these cute?
I enjoy having another place to showcase my dish collection.
Guess what, since sharing the photos, I have moved the cabinet to the side of our fireplace! I found a great vintage cabinet that I ‘ll be using here, but who knows?
See why I can’t do a kitchen reveal? Everything keep changes!
Have a great day and may joy and happiness be with you!
