To be honest once the holidays are over I feel drained. So many activities, emotions and hosting/partying has left me mentally and physically fatigued. I usually just lag through until Valentine’s day. This year the Charmer is about easy and no stress decorating…it’s all about the hearts, knitted hearts.
I think I mentioned when fall rolls around my knitting needles come out and I knit up a storm. There are five projects I’m working on….one project is always a quick no brainer one. Since it’s all about the heart it not to hard to guess what I’ve been knitting…your right…hearts.
Simple, cute hearts. I made the hearts last year with a US 3 needles this year I made them using a US 6 for a larger size. Click for the pattern above.
I knitted enough hearts to use them as a banner across the vintage window on our mantel. Mr. C. found these Hyacinths at Aldis for only $2.99 each. The hyacinths are sitting on the mantel so they can get as much sun as possible.
I’ve been pulling out my Valentine’s decor and just set my hoop art on top of the window, don’t know if that’s where they’ll stay. Looking at the photo do the strings look like dripping blood. Not the look I was going for and wondering if I should clip them off. What do you think?
I love making the hearts so much I’d like to offer a set of six hearts as a giveaway. This is open to anyone who has commented on my blog before. Please leave a comment letting me know if you’d like to have this set as your own. My way of saying thanks for being a friend and taking your time to comment.
If your wondering, why I’m limiting this to a previous commenter? Well, I did one giveaway before, it was a Kitchen Aid hand mixer, the person who won only came to my blog that one time and commented. He never paid a visit again. So I’d like it to go to someone who is a friend and not a drive by!
I hope you like them enough to want them!
