Is there another Charmer?
You might not know it but I have Facebook page for my blog. A follower left a comment that there’s another Charmer in IL being sold…
There was no way I wasn’t going to click over and check it out. In 1987 when I purchased the Charmer she was also painted blue like this one. She looks pretty much the same except ours sit up higher and there are 5 steps to the front porch.
The brick chimney is the same before I painted it two years a ago.
Let’s step in side…
The arch separates the front room from the dinning room. Before I purchased the Charmer the arch was removed.
The window trim is rather plain and the windows are smaller.
not as architectural as ours either.
The left opening is the foyer. Standing in front room in to the dining room. One thing I noticed they entered the upstairs just outside the kitchen…through the arch by the staircase these is a den and on the right a bedroom.
where we enter from the dining room.
They kitchen looks narrower than ours and its probably because their staircase took up some of it up.
And nook area….
Since the staircase was moved next to the kitchen, into the next bedroom, it was turned into a den.
Next to the den is a bathroom.
The remodel done last summer also included a face lift on our downstairs bathrooms. I forgot to share the downstairs bathroom with you? But I will soon!
On the other side of the bathroom is a bedroom.
This room is used as an office and on the left you can see the staircase.
Since our stairway opens in a hallway….
We use this room as our master bedroom..
The den leads in to the long dormer upstairs…
They’re using the long gabled room as two children bedrooms. This room appears to be much narrower than ours. Or it could just be the photos.
Upstairs we have the area divided into the guest/dressing room and the new master bathroom.
It was fun seeing another Charmer…but I must say I’m partial to mine. Maybe its her style which I find “minimalist” which certainly I’m not.
