I never seen to have enough storage space and the front foyer is no exception. When you think of a “front hall or foyer” you’d probably have visions of grandeur, like this….
or even this………
If you think those foyers are grand just wait the best is yet to come. Now mind you I don’t want you to feel jealous, but when your lucky enough to have a foyer like this……
Gosh I bet that took your breath away didn’t it (sorry about picture quality)? But some of us are just lucky to have a 4’7′ x 3’5″ foyer. So much to work with!
Here’s the arched front door I fell in love with….
I placed a large mirror across from the front door to provide some dept to the space……….
foyer hall isn’t grand in size but I still need it to provide storage and a place to drop our keys on.
Last summer while at one of my favorite flea market’s — the Illinois Kane County Flea Market I found this piece! The size is perfect but was really in need of TLC……..
That’s one major water spot (the grass is so dried out cause last summer was unbelievably hot/dry in Illinois)!
There’s a copper lining inside the cabinet so we think this was used as a humidor (a cigar cabinet).
We sanded it down, primed and spray painted with one of my favorite colors – Heirloom White – just love it – and then glazed with a dark walnut stain.
I’m actually standing outside on the front porch to take this photo. The two tiered silver tray really works well – giving us a place to drop our keys, cell phones and mail.
Even our small foyer functions well!
I’ve been thinking about painting the mirror frame white? What do you think, should I?
