Smiles Peeps,
We took Bo downstate for his 2nd hydrotherapy session...
Bo did really good, he was able to go 7/10 of mile!
He hasn't moved a muscle since we got home and he's completely out!
I haven't been out thrifting much this summer - way to HOT!
While driving home we hit a few garage sales and thrift shops,

a garage sale find, vintage safety pins and each has a stamped number,

an older chalkboard - think I'll use at my booth,

at another garage sale found some linen handkerchiefs, and dollies,

a pretty crewel linen table runner,

a very nice crochet piece of lace,

another table runner,

stopped in a thrift store and found this Target Shabby Chic Queen comforter - $6,

a very pretty knitted afghan, nice pattern, and a label "knitted by the Folks Craft Guild, Ohio,
those Folks do really great work, the yarn is very soft and is 100% cotton - $2.50,

feed grain sack,

a cute side table with inlays,

the score of the day were these 3 very old window cornices - alley find! These are really cool...

here's a side view, they must of been mounted above windows, and the curtain rods hung inside.
These weight a ton, solid wood!
Can you imagine someone put them out in the alley? They were meant to come home with me!
I just love thrifting!
What finds have you taken home lately?

Oh, I love those pins and that chalkboard! You found lots of fun goodies!!

I love the afghan! What a find. I love looking for linens at thrift store too. They often make great sewing fabric too (for a lot less)
Great finds. I have a link party, and I would love it if you would link this post. You can find it at

It is called Wednesdays Adorned From Above Link Party.
I hope to see you there. Have a great Day.

Wow, you had quite the haul! I especially love the afghan, the feed sack, and the gorgeous inlaid table. I, too, am unable to resist vintage linens!
I have trouble parting with my great finds. How do you decide what to put in your booth?
Oh my gosh, you did way better than I did! Hubby had gone fishing for the day so my friend and I decided to hit a few. We got started at 9, a bit late. Last minute decision to go. We picked up odds and ends but nothing fab. Love the cornices, the feed sack, and table! The pins will be awfully fun too. Oh, and the linens. Heck, I love it all!
Hugs,
Jann
Way cool cornice pieces! But I'm lovon the linens...they're my new favorite vintage go-to in accessorizing.
It is a tie for me between the pins and the cornices. Both tremendous finds. Love the linens -can one ever have enough?
I am so glad someone put them in the alley for you! That was very very nice of them!
I picked up a bunch of linens at an estate sale this weekend. I like some of yours way better than the ones I bought.
I love the inlay on the side table. The table runner is lovely. Great finds!
Really fantastic finds, Cathy! LOVE those window cornices!! People throw out the darnest things, don't they?
Hugs,
Deb
Love those vintage linens. I can just imagine women working on them in the evenings and the pride they had in the finished project that would make their home or clothing more fashionable, beautiful or functional. Thanks so much for sharing on Busy Monday!
I never tired of seeing what people find while out thrifting, looks like you found lots of great things! I love the idea that you just never know what you'll find but yet it's exactly what you've been looking forward..which for me is so true..and then my hubby rolls his eyes...so much fun! Congrats on all of your purchases!
