Smiles peeps,
My hubs is a big oil painting fan, me not so much. To be honest the ones he has are hanging down in the basement! I know I'm a bad wife!!!
With Fall upon us I've been thrifting and looking for items to use in my Fall decor,
when I started noticing some really great Fall oil paintings.

I love old barns, and have been lucky enough to find some Fall barn oil paintings.

This is the first oil I found, love the colors, GW $1.99 before 15% off.

The second one I found, a very vivid barn oil painting with a nice frame - thrift store $6.99.

I found this barn oil at GW too, I love its simplicity and feel so peaceful when I look at it, GW - $2.99 (before discount).

A great Fall tree oil, GW - $3.99 (before discount).
What a beautiful, and inexpensive way to add gorgeous fall color to our decorating. A great way to recycle these cast away oil painting in to our decorating.
I've recently found two great winter oils..

Moral of the story, I guess my hubs sometimes does have good taste!
Sure hope he doesn't get any ideas of moving those paintings upstairs.
Have you found, or will you be using any oil paintings in your Fall decorating.

Hi Cathy, I'm kinda liking these paintings too, whereas there was a time I would have passed on them. I think I like them best as a seasonal accent, for a time. Good idea! Thanks for coming by my place with such a great idea for the music case. I can visualize the plates stacked like that and I think it could just work. First I have to re-line the inside. I wonder how long it will take me to get to that project. Sigh. I'm a bit overrun by awaiting projects!

I like the vivid one in the pretty frame, and I especially like them when they are grouped together--they become more when they are grouped. Very good idea that I will use for my winter decor--I have one little oil that comes out every year! I love small paintings in pretty frames--always on the lookout for them, and happy when my relatives give me some as gifts!
