Welcome friends! Yesterday it rained all day and we had very few trick-or-treaters. Guess how much candy is left over, and guess who’s been eating it? You won’t need three guesses! Today is spectacular and hubs and I went for a fall walk. Not to many of these kinds of days left in IL. This past week I put the finishing touches on our fall buffet.
The beautiful sun is pouring in through the windows today making it hard to get good photos. I wanted to keep the buffet on the simple side…I’m closing down my vintage booth this week and there’s tons of work to do. I’ve had the booth for over 4 years and I’m ready to move on…after this summer of taking on just too many projects I am simplifying.
You know how I roll, don’t you? All items are thrift store finds. The cute vintage shelf gives me the height to layer. Dried goldenrod in the vintage aqua vase and dried limelight hydrangea from my garden in the glass vase.
This Fall I’ve enjoyed using my thrift store globes in my vignettes, the fall pumpkin picture is a web printout? hung from the vintage clipboard.
Several of the smaller pumpkins were purchased from Aldi’s. The bluish squash, at the far corner, is from the Farmer’s Market and I’m so sad when it closes down each year. Isn’t that vintage shelf cute with great curves? Typically I use vintage linen as a runner but used this rattan mat instead.
I’m always on the lookout for vintage planters, especially animal ones, and thought the chicken’s colors were perfect for fall. If you missed my spring vintage planter collection click here.
The colors of the porcelain bird help to make the white pumpkin pop.
I hope the fall weather by Y’all is as gorgeous as it is here today, the first day of November. Since the weather will still be nice this week we are postponing shutting down the pond…yippee!!
Hope you enjoyed our fall buffet!
