Found this dresser at SA, only $40.00.
Even though she was in bad shape I knew she could be a looker! I loved her legs!
The drawers were really in bad shape, so Mr. Charmer got to work on them!
Sanded her down.
Primed her with two coats (this is after 1 coat).
Mr. Charmer used his favorite new gadget, professional spray painter.
So funny, Mr. Charmer has a tendency to pick up the wrong can of paint from our stash. I can’t tell you how many times this has happened. One day when I got home, AFTER he touched up our family room, I noticed the paint didn’t match. He used the OUTSIDE trim color. We’ve talking not even close in color here?
I wanted to use a Sherwin William paint, BUT picked up our kitchen paint can, Benjamin Moore Blue Dragon. Oh Well!
Here she is two coats later. After seeing her fully dressed (hardware) decided the hardware needed to be darker – to provide more contrast against the blue.
Used Rust-oleum ORB.
The last step I used Annie Sloan’s clear and dark paste wax (the hardware not painted yet)
Isn’t she pretty!
Quickly moved her Wednesday into my new booth (notice the darker hardware)!
Been so busy setting and moving everything in ! So Excited!
