It was beautiful the last two days here in IL. Even though today is colder I'm staying in those moments of Spring. Both Sunday and Monday I was out in my garden! This was very special since I wasn't able to work in my garden last year (sick)!
Daffodils and pansies are Spring....last week I showed you my Vintage Tea Towel and Pansy Mantel, and kept the theme going with our Daffodil and Pansy Spring Vignette!
I found a beautiful Pansy oil painting which became the centerpiece of our vignette....
A few days ago I shared with you my
new old GI.GAN.TIC buffet, and that same day I found this very cute vintage apron...
The apron has the cutest orange and yellow pansies with a yellow rick rack trim. The pansy pattern is also at the ends of the apron which adds additional charm as my table runner.
As you can see on the left side....
Is a display of recent thrift store finds. The yellow scale is a Sears scale ($3.49), aqua vase ($2.00) filled with faux daffodils, white ironstone bowl (made in France) on top of the scale (0.49) will with violas.
I filled the white coffee mug (0.49) with violas too.
The vintage chick planter I've had for a while filled with orangish yellow pansies. My aim was to pull the colors out of the painting.
OK, can you possibly not smile seeing the cute vintage ducky planter? I know I can't, and enjoyed using her in this vignette. The green bowl on top of the scale is filled with pansies,
another white mug filled with violas, a new pink vase with fresh yellow daffodils.
I can't remember a year I've wanted spring to come more than this one. Last Spring/Summer I hardly remember being without pain....but this year springs eternal hopes.
Hope to see you all this Sunday, April 6th, For Sunday's Best Monthly #60 Par.tay!
