Cozy Christmas Corner – Master Bedroom
Its been awhile since posting because we’ve been finishing upstairs. Just a few minor thing to do! What a relief. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather and just plain wore out.
The last few weeks the weather has been beautiful but two days ago it turned COLD and WINDY! When I left the house yesterday there were a few falling snowflakes. It’s weird going from 60’s to high twenties.
To anyone on the path of the Southern California fires safety. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
While pulling the upstairs back together I decided to create Christmas vignettes at the same time. This year I’m decorating the least I ever have…after all the chaos I need calm more than I need holiday decorations.
It was such a good feeling to have our Master Bedroom back and sleeping in our bed again. A calming place to sleep is a good thing.
Mr. C tells me furniture doesn’t stay in a spot longer than three months and he’s right. I love moving the furniture around with the seasons giving a new look. The bed was moved in front of the window which will be shared in another post.
The Goodwill vintage chair has always been in the bedroom but moved to a new corner. The chair is showing some worn spots but is such a comfortable chair…
The crochet tablecloth/doilies cover the worn spots.
Draped across the top is a larger crochet table runner.
Next to the chair are wicker tables. A few simple Christmas items, a single ornament on top an vintage Reader’s Digest book, red and white doily and a pretty tin.
I’ve never been able to get a shot with a straight candle which is so funny. I love that vintage cherub candleholder.
The wicker stack tables, book, ornament, candle holder, doily and plaid throw where thrift store finds. Actually, everything in the cozy Christmas corner is thrifting treasures.
I love plaid and one could never have too much of it.
The simplicity of the boxwood wreath against the plaid throw adds a sense of calm.
Whenever I want to read, knit or just spend time this cozy Christmas Corner just is a perfect. Gosh, there’s that crooked candlestick again!
I’m going to spend a little more time here before heading out the door.
