Instead of a warm breezy summer day we having weather rather Fall like!
So I’m in a rush to get all our summer projects posted since walking in HL nothing but FALL items.
I hope all of you are enjoying your summer….and let’s now rush out of summer in to fall!
Our Cottage Summer Buffet has been done since June, just like our Summer Mantel, but unable to post until now!
Some of our flowers from our garden were added. I love having flowers to cut from the garden and bring indoors.
My eye hemorrhage is doing better, but I’m still having a hard time with the blood and floaters fluttering around my eye. So once again if a photo isn’t in focus…it’s not you, it’s me!
This one might not be?
Whenever I take photos of the buffet I have to make sure the mantel looks good. I love the mirror but it clearly shows everything across from it.
The dining room’s main theme was decorated around Roses.
I started with two white frames with a rose needlepoint in the center. I cannot pass up anything needlepoint. The little rose ceramic flower vase was a find at the “worlds best” garage sale I’ve ever been too. It’s Lefton, and there are no chips!
Around the mirror are 9 different vintage rose plates, 3 of them were found at the garage sale, and the other 6 were thrift store finds.
The aqua vase is filled with our garden’s gladiolas…a recent vintage chicken figurine stacked on top of three vintage green books topped with pink gloves.
A vintage rose pitcher stacked on several vintage rose dishes. I made the Laura Ashley heart several months ago.
The vintage dish rack was filled with different rose plates, bowls, cups and platters.
Last week I went to a vintage sale in Darien and found so many pretty dishes….several beautiful milk glass vases and the pretty little rose bowls in the rack.
This summer has been so exciting with so many out of this world garage, barn and vintage sales!
Lefton Rose Lantern on top of the rusty sale…kinda of like the beauty and the beast.
Enjoy your summer days…it all goes by so quickly!
