Christmas Mantel – 2017
I spend a lot of time in the living area since we don’t have a family room. The living area is the first room I decorate and starts with the mantel no matter what season it is. It can be a bit of a challenge since Ginger likes to lay in front of the fireplace and doesn’t give it up easily.
Monday we finally had the chimney/ roof patched. It’s a big relief to finally have the area patched and no more drip bowls on the!
My favorite putz house rests on top of some evergreen garland. Ninety-eight % of what I decorate with is from thrift stores but when I spotted this church I had to have it, $30. Mr. C wasn’t happy when he saw what I paid for it! If you want some history behind putz houses click here.
A few snow-capped trees added that I used on last years mantel too.
I placed a pair of vintage Carolers in the middle of the fireplace. Such a lovely couple.
Guess who’s coming to town?
Santa! My vintage Santa Claus whose right foot boot keeps falling off! A few more snow-capped trees were placed around him.
The brick looks so rustic adding to the charm of the mantel. A Putz house in front of the sign and another Putz house on the end. I love the Christmas mantel even more with the exposed brick.
A Christmas mantel needs a pair of antlers.
The little Putz house above is from Joann’s clearance last year.
And so was this adorable squirrel.
Our Christmas Mantel is all done and I love sitting on the love seat with only the fairy lights on. It’s so pretty and serene.
