Smiles my friends,
I don't know how I didn't know the Charmer has always wanted to be a cottage.
It's in her genes so to speak, it's who she is.
My first 15 years the Charmer was decorated in a country sytle! That seems to fit just fine!
Then I went in the direction of a more formal traditional style.
The Charmer fought me on this one...
so I should of known she wasn't comfortable being "elegant"
You are who you are they say,
Who the Charmer is - is cottage!
I'm enjoying bringing her to her natural style, where she belongs,
it's just that I've been moving so slowly lately,
the heat has been hindering me so!
So I've finally gotten around to working on pillows.

It's taken me forever to find the material I liked. Even though this fabric is more French Cottage it works for me.

The sun is happily blasting through the windows!
I love how the pillows look with the pompom trim.

I found the white lace pillow sham at an antique mall yesterday, and the embroidery pillow from a garage sale.
It just makes me want to settle in!

Maybe it's why I'm not getting much done, I've enjoy sitting her too much.
Since it's too hot to sit outside, I've been a sittin here!

If your looking for me, here's where I'll be till I get some energy to sew some more pillows!
What pillows have you been making lately.

Love the pillows! The pom poms make them more fun and less serious!
I like the addition of the pom pom, yes give it a more informal and cottage look!
Cathy, I think you nailed it this time. Your beautiful house definitely looks like a cottage to me. I love your pillows, the ones you made and the ones you bought. The embroidered one is darling! I love looking at your house!
Take care and stay cool!

As someone who lives in a house older than yours - a 1928 charmer, by eye is drawn to your wonderful window molding. I dropped in from Nifty Thrifty to see your cute pillows. I just made some new pillows for my charmer.
