Smiles to you friends,
Our dog Bo, is old, and really hasn't been healthy with many peaks and valleys over the last year,
we thought we were at the the point of making the dreaded decision - Is it time!
Since hubs and I practice Homeopathy we took Bo to a very well respected Homeopathic Vet.
Our initial visit was 1 1/2 hours long which is typical of Homeopathy since the practice is based on the whole being.
Dr. Ford did not feel that it was time, even though Bo has many medical issues.
We've decided to focus on a "Quality of life" centered medical care. Care which focuses on Bo having the "best" quality of life at this point.
Bo is on new meds, Hydrotherapy and on a "raw" food diet, with NO grain. Grain is not good for inflammatory diseases (most dog foods are high in grain). In fact makes it worse.
Today was Bo's 1st Hydrotherapy session.

Here's Bo inside the hydrotherapy tank, the water is just starting to fill up, and he's wondering what the heck is going on.

The water level is rising but the treadmill hasn't started yet.

The water level in hydrotherapy is usually at a dog's throat, the higher the level of water the more buoyancy.
He did quite well (4/10 of a mile) more than the therapist expected. He'll have weekly therapy, extending his time gradually to build his hind muscles which have atrophied.
If you could see Bo he is totally zonked out!
Have any of you dogs received hydrotherapy?

Aww I know this is gonna do well for him for ya'll
Sending good thoughts
