For over a week we’re been having beautiful weather. I’ll admit instead of blogging I’ve been outside enjoying it. That makes me a bad blogger…
I can’t remember such a warm stretch in February as this one. Typically February can be bitter cold with snow. But for the last week I’ve been gardening, as well as cleaned the porch and taking walks with Ginger. Its been wonderful.
It’s also been wonderful to open the windows letting in fresh air!
I always start cleaning the front garden beds first..certainly I want the front garden beds to look their best. Since we’ve not had much snow/rain the leaves were easy to rake up.
While Mr. C raked I cut down grasses and plant materials I didn’t’ get to before the weather turned cold.
Ginger laid in the cooler dirt out of the sun. I’ve never seen a dog dislike warm weather as much as she does. It was low in the low 70’s but didn’t want to be in the sun. She sure can get herself all tied up!
She just had a haircut 5 weeks ago and her hair grows so fast. This summer I’m going to keep her clipped short. But she sure has thick hair.
I also clean the back porch as Mr. cleaned both our cars. With the trees bare sunlight just pours on the porch. Once of the first things I did was to create a place to sit.
Each day Ginger and I walked the wildlife refuge not far from us. Yesterday we took our longest walk and both Ginger and I plopped down when we got back home.
I’m still struggling to motivate myself to decorate…this is the longest my slump has lasted. I must say once the sun came out and the weather warmed up I was feeling back to normal.
I’m gonna to start taking down the winter mantel and put up a few St. Patty’s day decorations. Not many, just a few. Hope this gets me going again.
I’ve been busy though, volunteering every Monday at the thrift store, joined a garden club and a women’s blowing league Thursday mornings and every Friday morning a knitting group.
But most of all this past week I’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather.
