Hello, and welcome! Right now I’m sitting in Minnie at a campsite in Ohio! I’m attending my first Sisters On The Fly event. Due to the length of the trip, and my first time solo with Minnie, I decided to break the 8 hours trip in to two days. Today I drove 5 hours and stayed overnight at a KOA (no likey this one) and the traveling went really well. The only hectic spot was the connection between IL and IN, so many semi’s and poor Minnie was being pulled and swayed a lot. Sure don’t like being surrounded by semi’s, hard to keep her straight and not swerving, really scary!
Tomorrow I’m drive the remaining 4 miles. Sitting here, waiting for the morning linght to shine, I’m writing about our Anniversary Glamping weekend at Potato Creek State Park. Connecting with friends alway helps to feel less lonely.
I did learn one thing already, it can be pretty dark outside, so next time I will remember to bring a nightlight!
We left for Potato Creek Thursday morning, and as on this trip, we keep forgetting about the hour time change and arrived early evening.
We set up our vintage trailer, Minnie Driv’r, no clamping this time, we really needed some R&R. It takes about two hours to set up so by the time we were done with that I made dinner.
I made chicken on the grill, fresh corn on the cob and salad. We’re sitting in Minnie’s dinette area.
Mr. C pondering away…this is his idea of helping make dinner…starting the grill.
Minnie Driv’r all lit up at night. Most travel trailers leave the outside lights on all night long! We did shut down the inside lights after Mr. C watch a video?
It was a beautiful morning, gorgeous blue skies, and continued great weather all 5 days of the trip.
Sorry for the short post, but morning light is breaking and I need to head out to Rockbridge, Ohio. My first Sisters On The Fly event I’m attending…Buckeye bash. I’ll be checking off a few things on my “to do list” like Zip lining which I have never done before-; We’ll also be visiting some great caves, canoeing, and a whole lot more. I’m so excited!
