Thrifting I did go while volunteering.
Since I’ve started volunteering at “the thrift” store I rarely need to go to another store. Many times I don’t have the money after volunteering to head to another store. But, since Mr. C has been volunteering with me, I’ve reduced my spending in thirds.
Since volunteering I’ve developed a new found respect for cashiers. I never realized how much abuse they may take. I mean some people, mostly women, can be really rude and nasty. If there are so many at a Christian thrift store my goodness it must be much worse at Walmart, or Kohl’s or wherever.
You should have seen how excited I was when I spotted two Finlandia teacups! In 2014 I shared my collection but never found any teacups that I was willing to pay. My Finlandia collection is one of my favorites…
I was as excited about the vintage tablecloth as the teacups. The yellow and aqua are so pretty together…
Another embroidered table runner.
Also, a few pretty doilies which one cannot have enough of. Well, except maybe me!
An adorable vintage baby hat.
Two decorated Reader’s Digest Books..never seem them with a floral or winter hardcover before. They’re from 1961.
A beautiful blue book of Gone With The Wind, 1936 copyright. I’ll always have fond memories of the book. When I moved out of home for the first time I couldn’t afford a TV. I listened to the radio and lucky for me there was a library close by. I checked out Gone With The Wind and The Good Earth. Loved them both.
Little Women book and what drew me in was in 1970 it was Free when you bought 1 two pounds can of Folgers…
A great score of this beautiful beverage crock for $5.
Red American Tourister Luggage to use in Minnie for storing clothes.
Some beautiful 100% Merino yarn…
A picture frame stand, don’t know what else to call it? The picture itself is printed on hard cardboard and moves up to the top. We spray painted it white and chalkboard painted the inside of the picture.
We’ll be using it at the vintage trailer rallies to have Minnie’s name, year and Model for the open houses.
I was so glad a thrifting I did go while volunteering for all the treasures I love to find.
