A Corner Vignette..and a new cottage lampshade!!

Smiles Everyone,

We started off our day with such beautiful weather!

A very pleasant sunny 76° - Yippee!!!

I sat a while in my garden, listening to the birds, and sipping tea.

I wanted to sit out there all day,  and do nothing.

But I wanted to share with you my dining room corner vignette.

Heres how the corner started, just left of my new buffet.

I started by adding this cute cherub shelf found at a local thrift store.

and a thrift store table $10..

Added the oil painting, garage sale find $6, and a thrift store lamp, $5.

I loved this cottage oil painting with all the colors of the room.  The lampshade is calling out for some color and charm.

Off  I headed to my sewing room to make this cute removable lampshade (tutorial tomorrow).

It really added the color and charm I was looking for.

Some of my gardens hydrangeas.

Placed a cloche and a wire basket holding books on the bottom.

If you noticed my curtains still not hemmed, haven't decided on the curtain rings yet!!!

Would you believe it was a cloudy day when I took the pictures? So much light coming in.

So pleased how it turned out!

Have you been working on any corner vignettes?
